Greyed out left the shower on;
I predicted tears at the marathon
I predicted lines on a page,
I self satisfied for an age.
Henceforth all my references
Shall be written out like condolences:
Just lines on a page.
Couldn’t bear to bare it all
Couldn’t bear to sing a song
But to laugh at something so sad
And you forget it’s what you don’t have
Stupid stars melting on the blue
Stupid me and stupid you
Might bare it all
Half truths and a finger knot
People cross their hearts up until they’re caught.
People stop and start, people start and stop.
People never cry when they’re out of luck.
Eyes dart with a poison tip
Force it til it fits fits fits fits fits fits.
Tethered to the one you love,
You only hurt the one you love.
Couldn’t bear to bare it all,
Couldn’t bear to sing a song,
But to laugh at something so sad,
You forget it’s what you don’t have.
Stupid stars melting on the blue
Stupid me and stupid you
Might bare it all
You don’t have the time to breakdown anymore,
If desire is desire
Would you give in to control?
Tongue in cheek
Gets hard to beat
Who’s keeping score?
Slashing tire after tire
You don’t want me anymore
Junk Drawer lead the pack, swerving into unsettling territory - I love this band's sheer unpredictability. I remember their gig at Output where they followed an excellent set by The Bonk. These guys are the cat's pyjamas! Ursula's Crow
Cermony's Ross John Farrar experiments with synths, bass, & percussion to make music similar to that from the '80s homemade tape scene. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 30, 2023
Wonderful to see Irish musicians putting out something as fresh as this, even if Bitch Falcon's influences are front and centre. The album is a fantastic mix of shoegaze and grunge (and even dream pop if I may be so bold), and it all comes together in one tight, thoroughly enjoyable package. derringerhk
